BankDhofar hosts “Numo” SME event to strengthen engagement with entrepreneurs

BankDhofar has organised the “Numo” engagement event for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and showcasing its range of banking products and services tailored to the sector. The initiative aims to empower SMEs and enhance their contribution to economic growth in the Sultanate of Oman, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.

The forum brought together a group of entrepreneurs and SME owners, providing a platform to network with each other and learn about business support products offered by the bank’s dedicated SME Banking division, “Numo”.

During the event, Mr. Adnan bin Mohsin Al Balushi, Head of SME Banking at BankDhofar, highlighted the division’s offerings, noting the rapid expansion of SMEs and their growing role in job creation and youth entrepreneurship across the Sultanate.

In his remarks, Al Balushi said: “SMEs are no longer a supporting or peripheral sector; they have become a key driver of innovation, significantly strengthening local content and enhancing the resilience of the national economy in adapting to economic change.”

The forum also featured a presentation by Mr. Hasher bin Khamis Al Mandhari, CEO of Al Alamah Marketing, who discussed modern digital marketing strategies, the importance of building strong brand identity, and the fundamentals of scaling SMEs to regional and international markets.

BankDhofar’s strategic partner, Mastercard, also delivered a presentation on tailored payment solutions for SMEs. These included global travel benefits such as airport lounge access, discounts of 15% at IHG Hotels & Resorts, 7% savings on bookings via Booking.com, as well as offers across shopping, logistics, and cloud-based services.

Launched in 2025, the “Numo” SME Banking division represents a strategic step by BankDhofar towards providing an integrated suite of financial solutions designed specifically for SMEs. Its services include business accounts, digital payment platforms, point-of-sale (POS) systems, flexible financing options, and advanced digital banking tools aimed at improving operational efficiency and cash flow management.

The bank continues to strengthen SME engagement through dedicated service centres that enable direct interaction with business clients and support more tailored financial solutions.

BankDhofar further reinforces its nationwide presence through a network of more than 145 branches across Oman, serving all segments of society, including SMEs. It also operates over 400 ATMs, cash deposit machines, and interactive kiosks, ensuring convenient access to banking services across the Sultanate.
