BankDhofar; in its effort towards preserving the environment, the bank has announced a go-green initiative with its "no more paper statement" campaign.

The discontinuation of paper statements will take effect as of January 2010. Customers will now be encouraged to make use of the Bank’s e-banking services including online banking facilities to conveniently enable them to view their e-statements whenever they please. However, customers will receive an end of year paper statement.

"Not only are we preserving the environment but also offering convenience" said Kris Babicci, CEO, BankDhofar " less paper handling offers a more simplistic approach to the way customers access information on their finances, and with our e-banking and online banking, they are offered services at their disposal whenever they need them".

Instead of paper statements customers can access their account information through SMS banking, e-banking and the bank’s call centre.

Adopting eco friendly ways will be part of BankDhofar’s social responsibility on educating and creating awareness to its customers and the community.
